The NEW Link 30 One Design from British Hunter has been out on the race course with fantastic results.

Launched just in time for the Round the Island Race June 28th 2008, 'Slinky' (Link No 1) has been performing well straight out of the blocks. She has proved to be the most lovely looking boat with well mannered sailing characteristics to match.

4th in Class and 50th overall out of the 1800 entries in the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race is a result that we could only have dreamt of with only a few hours shake down time prior to the start. Sailed with a family crew of four + 1 works team member to keep an eye out, she sailed round the whole race with full sail ( over 25 kts of wind recorded ) and flew her spinnaker when others dared not to.

This result has now been improved with the news just in that Slinky came 2nd in Class 8 during this years Skandia Cowes Week. Again campaigned by a Corinthian crew she managed to out perform all but one of the highly competitive, seasoned IRC boats on only her second outing.

We are now happy that the Link can perform well in any company and we will now concentrate on our original goal which is to build a strong One Design fleet. She is a joy to sail whilst cruising or racing and we hope you will contact us if she is of interest to you.
